Program/Service Notes:
Families in Siskiyou County who need help to meet monthly bills during times of unemployment and partial employment may receive assistance from the CalWORKs program. Assistance with medical bills is provided through the Medi-Cal and CMSP programs. Food Stamps may help supplement low income families with their food purchases. General Assistance is available to unemployed adults and disabled adults not eligible to other cash programs.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 - 5
Eligibility: The programs administered though ETAS have eligibility requirements based on income, property, and resources. Each program has a different set of eligibility criteria. You can come to our office during normal business hours to apply for assistance any time you feel you are in need. Or you may call one of our offices and apply by phone.
Fees:
Intake Process: Applications are received in person or by mail. Regulations allow up to 45 days from the date of application to determine eligibility for CalWORKs and Medi-Cal. We have 30 days to determine eligibility for the Food Stamp Program.
