Program/Service Notes:

The Maternal Child and Adolescent Health program functions to assist high risk women of childbearing years, and their children, in obtaining access to quality health services. Additional programs and services in this endeavor include: Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), which develops, maintains and expands perinatal provider sites and includes prenatal education and assessment. Prenatal Care Guidance (PCG), a program to assist high risk prenatal Medi-Cal eligible clients obtain services and benefits relating to their pregnancy. The MCAH Program provides pregnancy, breastfeeding, parenting and tobacco education information for pregnant women and women of childbearing age. The MCAH Program has electric breast pumps that may be loaned for free to breast feeding mothers. Also MCAH has resources for a county wide car seat program for needy families. MCAH also has contact referral for dental services & is an active participant with the Siskiyou County Dental Task Force.
