| Purpose of Agency: The Facilitator is an attorney who can discuss your Family Law, Small Claims, or Civil matters with you, answer your questions, and explain what your options are, so you can make an informed decision about what action to take, and are better informed regarding court procedure. The Facilitator's Office can help you: preparing papers to start a case; make sure your papers are correctly filed with the court and delivered to the other party; respond to papers or order that have been served on you; help you request orders regarding child custody, visitation, support and other issues; provide information about what will happen in court and what you need to do before your court date; meet with parties together to work out solutions to divorce/property/support and other issues without need of a hearing; get the right papers filed after your hearing; prepare papers for default or uncontested judgment; and provide referrals to other local and state agencies as needed. Services Provided: The Facilitator's Office can assist you with: child support, spousal support, establishing parentage; divorce, separation or annulment; custody and visitation issues; stepparent adoptions; Orders After Hearing; modification of existing orders; responding to papers you have been served; name change, emancipation, restraining orders, guardianships, and small claims cases. The Facilitator will travel to the local county jail to provide services upon request. We cannot assist with: criminal court matters; juvenile court matters except for child support issues; non-relative adoptions; conservatorships; wills/trusts; contracts; real estate. | |
