The Siskiyou Humane Society believes that animals have value beyond economic measure and are entitles to a safe, healthy and loving environment. Our mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of animals and as a defender of their rights, bearing in mind that the welfare of the animals must come first. At our shelter we will meet the needs of Siskiyou County's abandoned, abused and unwanted animals, and will serve our community as a source of education, information and counsel in all matters concerning animals and their care. The Siskiyou Humane Society is dedicated to promoting mutual assistance between people and animals. Through our education and spay/neuter programs our mission is to prevent pet overpopulation and protect, shelter and place animals in need.
