American Appliance Recyclers is dedicated to successfully diverting materials from America's solid waste stream by recycling: Large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, etc.) Computers, monitors, & related equipment Televisions and other electronic devices Fluorescent tubes and other lighting. American Appliance Recyclers refurbishes large appliances for resale or breaks them down for recycling (allowing nothing to go to landfill in the process). We are licensed freon evacuation recoverers, and as such, we have developed an excellent working relationship with Schnitzer Steel and Ashland and Valley View Recycling Centers, performing freon recovery on a weekly basis. By the year 2003, it will be illegal to recharge appliances with freons R11, R12, & R22, and recycling appliances will be the only legal means of large appliance disposal. Our management team keeps informed of environmental regulations and changes in the standards and laws, and we believe the mission goal of American Appliance Recyclers compliments the vision of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and we will be able to meet the increasing need of American communities for a safe and acceptable way to dispose of used appliances.
