Call City of Yreka or Siskiyou County Public Health Dept. for information on hours and specific location. NOTE: HAZ MAT PROGRAM IS TEMPORARILY DISCONTINUED PENDING FURTHER FUNDING. PLEASE CONTACT CITY OF YREKA FOR DETAILS. Yreka landfill is now accepting hazardous materials free of charge the third Saturday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm. Materials accepted include but are not restricted to paint and paint thinners, solvents, automotive fluids, gasoline, televisions, garden pesticides and herbicides, aerosol spay cans, wood preservatives, computer monitors, household cleaners and polishers, pool chemicals, batteries, rodent poison an fluorescent lamps. These substances are toxic and can harm human health and the environment if not properly disposed of. They contaminate water supplies and waterways and can cause serious injury to garbage workers.
Hours:	Closed Sundays and Mondays beginning March 26. Open Tuesday through Saturday 7:30 am to 4 pm
